bulletThe following pH formulas are set up different from the text but are easier to work with.
Remember that [H+] = [H3O+]

o         [OH-][H+] = 1 x 10-14

o       [H+] = 10-pH and pH = -Log [H+]

o       pOH = -Log [OH-]

o       pH + pOH = 14

Practice solving a few pH problems using the above equations and your calculator
